Frequently Asked Questions

Click "Change Password" from the user dropdown menu in the top-right corner, or ask your agency administrator to reset it for you. If you are locked out, contact your administrator or email support@rescuelink.app.

Go to Profile & Notifications from the user dropdown menu. You can choose which events trigger notifications and whether they are delivered via push, email, or SMS. You can also set quiet hours to suppress notifications during off-duty time.

Patients create an account at rescuelink.app/patient/register and fill in their medical profile. They receive a 6-character patient code and a QR code. On scene, EMS crews scan the QR code or a dispatcher enters the patient code to pull up the full medical profile instantly — allergies, medications, conditions, emergency contacts, and insurance.

Yes. The web application is mobile-responsive and works in any modern browser. Native iOS and Android apps are also available for field crews with GPS tracking, push notifications, and offline ePCR support.

RescueLink is HIPAA-compliant. All Protected Health Information (PHI) is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. Role-based access controls ensure users only see data appropriate to their role. Every access to patient records is audit-logged.

On the call intake form, select an insurance provider and enter the member ID. If the provider supports eligibility checks, a "Check Eligibility" button appears. Click it to verify coverage in real-time. If the check fails, click "Discover Insurance" to search all payers by patient demographics.

On the call detail page, enter the facility's email and click "Send Link." The recipient receives an email with an access code, reviews and edits the form in their browser, then signs with a touch signature pad. You can track the signature status on the call page.

RescueLink integrates with emsCharts for ePCR charting, Stedi for insurance eligibility and discovery, Traccar for GPS tracking, and supports Pusher for real-time WebSocket updates. The REST API supports custom integrations.

System administrators can add agencies from Admin > Agencies. Use the onboarding Excel template (Admin > Onboarding) to bulk-import employees, stations, units, insurance providers, and facilities for a new agency.

Submit a support ticket using the form below with as much detail as possible — what you were doing, what happened, and any error messages you saw. Screenshots are very helpful. Our team will investigate and respond within 24 hours.

RescueLink uses Pusher WebSockets. When a call status changes, a unit is dispatched, or a message is sent, all connected screens update instantly — the dispatch board, status board, and map all refresh automatically without page reloads.

Yes, but only if the agency has transported or is scheduled to transport that patient. This restriction protects patient privacy while enabling post-transport communication.
